The IPL is a HUGE deal in India. It's a huge deal for cricket fans around the world. The rights are auctioned off in a transparent fashion & it happened yesterday. While we have no word on the winner yet, one of the biggest players just dropped out. We do know that the auction will spill over into tomorrow at least. Larger story here...

Update: The primary rights have been sold at this point but 2 additional sets of rights are still up for grabs. Disney Retains only broadcast rights for $3B.
