Perhaps it seems contrary to title the video "BEAUTY" and then start things off with "O Sacred Head Now Wounded." This timeless hymn speaks of the death of the Saviour, one of the hardest, saddest, most gruesome events in history. It would be disturbing to look at: Jesus, beaten and bruised for our transgressions and wrong, hanging on the cross. And yet, the result, the fruit of his sacrifice is such a tremendous thing for those who believe in Him, who receive by faith the finished work of the cross. And so, despite the agony and shame of the cross, it's beautiful, and the outcome is beautiful, and the way He recreates His kids is beautiful. So today we celebrate Jesus, the Son of God who died, and who is alive again - now and forevermore! His life and power are at work in you, and you are His beautiful masterpiece because of that beautiful moment in history - the pinnacle of the story: The Cross.
