A Victory for SOCE Client Rights and Therapy Equality!

Something I'm thankful for: on Nov. 20, 2020, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Boca Raton and Palm Beach County, FL's ban on therapy for unwanted same-sex attraction and gender confusion for minors was unconstitutional! The plaintiffs were Robert Otto and Julie Hamilton. The two judges that ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, Britt Grant and Barbara Lagoa, were appointed by President Trump. And the dissenting judge, Beverly Martin, was appointed by President Obama. The ruling shows the difference in the way the two types of judges honor the Constitution. I walk through parts of the decision document to highlight the rationale used.
