1 Peter 4 speaks to that time is running to a close, specifically Peter (whose real name is KaeYPhA) writes in his letter to the chosen, strangers of the Dispersion (this is 12 tribes scattered reference): the end of all has drawn near. How much more so is this true now. We can feel it!!

Therefore, he says, be sober-minded. That's a sober mind. And, be attentive in the prayers. He also says above all have fervent love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.

Our discussion took us into the sins of Herod, an angry and paranoid and much disliked king, and his sins found him out, as Numbers 32:23 promises. We serve a Just Elohim, Who is Witness and Judge over all, including the intentions of the heart. We choose wisely Who we serve and we bind ourselves unto a Righteous Elohim Who has covenant love for His people.
