Here we have the third birthday tournament hosted by Youngstown Historical Fencing. This is McCamey's first tournament. Two tournaments took place, the first allowing for any weapon in the armory (though most chose longsword) and the second restricted to rapier and broadsword. McCamey placed third in the open weapon and first in the rapier/broadsword. Hope you enjoy these highlights!

We practice HEMA (Historic European Martial Arts) as a combat sport for both fitness and entertainment and because we love sword fighting and medieval culture. We train using the treatise and books left behind by the masters who lived by the sword, such as Roworth, Fiore De Liberi, Joachim Meyer and Johannes Lichtenauer.

McCamey studies Fiore: Longsword, Dagger and Sword In One Hand, Meyer & Lichtenauer: Longsword and Roworth: Broadsword.
