EXODUS 19:
5Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6and ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the [children of Israel.]

REV 3:17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and (naked:) 18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, (that thou mayest be clothed,) and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

COL 2:1For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto (all riches of the full assurance of understanding,) to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3(in whom are hid all the (treasures) of wisdom and knowledge.)

ROMANS 13:14But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

EPH 4:22 that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

COL 3:9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

The messages to the seven churches of Revelation are timeless, applicable since the 1st century and to all generations of the church since. The counsel given in these two chapters of Revelation is broad enough to cover every type of church and every spiritual experience that we may go through.
