How can we determine the truth?

There are many doctrines and beliefs that have been developed as Christianity matured, from different directions, and to serve different purposes. All of these doctrines are usually taken from the Bible - but as Christians, we have to differentiate between what's right and what's wrong, so that we can know our Heavenly Father properly.
