VIDEO DESCRIPTION
The Age of Jackson was full of controversy. During Jacksons eight years in office, he stopped a civil war from breaking out in South Carolina, he went to war with the Second Bank of the United States, and he started the Panic of 1837. Andrew Jackson was an influential president who changed the meaning of democracy in the United States. This video lays out his years in office and the influence they had after he left. It goes into the presidency of Martin Van Buren, William Henry Harrison, and John Tyler.
