Formed in October 2000 to play the Laker High School battle of the bands,
88 miles per hour was composed of 2 sets of brothers and a friend. After a few shows
before the battle of the bands, the boys realized that this band thing was pretty cool.

88MPH record a 2 song demo and say thats pretty cool. Then in June 2001, Ryan stepped
up to lead vocals and the band record this 5 song demo. After a number of shows, the
band ventures on a full length and finally completed For the Better, seeing it's release in

July 2003... They eventually went on to record a full-length album on their own and teamed up with Lansing, Michigan based Selah Records to release another EP.

Their musical influences:
My father, bands like MxPx, Slick Shoes, Blink 182, Craig's Brother, The Offspring, Saves the Day, Taking Back Sunday, and a lot of other ones.
