We chase and we chase
We want it all now
Too often at the sacrifice of the things that really matter
The things that won't wait
The things we need most of all
While we madly pursue the things that will keep
The opportunities
The endeavours
That we feel may be slipping through our fingers
Losing our grasp
Trying to hold onto things
Things that change form and fashion as quickly as we do
The wants we finally receive
Become the things we no longer desire
We've let go to chase after new ones
The chances that always come around again
Losing sight of the moments that won't
It doesn't all have to be now
Because what's most important
Is that now is all we have
