Tense or Anxious In Your Christian Walk? Learn About Gospel Tense #shorts

If you are tense or anxious in your Christian walk maybe you need to learn about Gospel Tense.
If you are always unsure about your salvation and constantly looking at yourself and your failings, then you may not understand the promise Jesus makes and the criteria for the eternal life He offers.
In John 5:24 we learn about Gospel Tense or the PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE TENSE contained within the promise of Jesus Christ.

John 5:24 reads “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life (PRESENT TENSE) and will not be judged (FUTURE TENSE) but has crossed over from death to life (PAST TENSE).

Jesus promised eternal life NOW if you believe in Him. Faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation. Faith plus NOTHING. Salvation is a free gift obtained by faith apart from works. And Jesus promises you will not come into judgment (regarding eternal life). And He promises that you have crossed over from death unto life (eternal life) -- ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED, SETTLED, DONE.
You do not need to be anxious about your salvation if you believed on Jesus for eternal life. You can now do good works from a place of gratitude not fear, from a place of faith. It is impossible to please God without faith -- Hebrews 11:6.
God wants a cheerful giver, and a cheerful worker, a life of faith not under compunction. Fix your eyes on Jesus with child-like trust, not on yourself.
Don't let people (pastors, evangelists, guest speakers) trouble you and rob you of the joy of your salvation as they demand that you feverishly try harder, do more good works, live holy, etc, etc. so that you don't lose your salvation. That is not the gospel. Do good works because of the joy set before you, because of the rewards to come, as an outgrowth of your faith, love, and gratitude.

The works of ours that will be judged are about rewards and honor, and whether we rule and reign with Jesus. Some will rule over much and some over little. But our joy will still be full and there will be no envy. But it is better to run the race to obtain the prize. The prize is not salvation that is already a given (has been given when you believed in the promise of eternal life in Jesus).

Admit you cannot save yourself.
Believe in the one who can save you, Jesus Christ, for eternal life now. It's not a future 'will be' or 'might be' salvation. It's a NOW salvation that Jesus guarantees.
