What Is Assurance? | Believe The Promise #shorts

This video answers the question: What is Assurance? Believing the promise Jesus made is assurance for the believer's salvation. John 6:47 is the example used here but there are others that also declare that Jesus promised eternal or everlasting life to those that believe in Him.

The promise is for now not in the future. It is present tense. The Lord promised that everlasting life is the present possession of believers. “He who believes in Me HAS everlasting life,”
as the Lord Jesus Christ said (John 6:47, emphasis added). HAS is present
tense. If you are persuaded of the truth of this, then you have assurance.
On my channel, Salvation Secured, I teach the simple Gospel of promised eternal life for all who believe in Jesus. Everlasting life is a free gift, not earned by our own acts of righteousness. You have assurance if you believe He keeps His promise.

Jesus switched places with us on the cross and took the penalty of death for our sins and He gives us His righteousness because our own self-righteousness is not enough to save us.
