First Attempt at cherry protection: Wind +1 Netting +0

Every time I hear birds cackling maliciously, tauntingly, in our cherry tree, it just burns me! Those cherries belong to us! Go eat bugs or mulberries or other birds!
We have used this netting before but it is long and narrow-- 2 pieces each at 10ft by 20ft. Stan got the idea to attach the two pieces together. He was going to clamp them. I was afraid the netting was too fragile to clamp. I thought of duct tape (but of course!) but was also afraid that might tear the netting. I could sew them together with fishing line...but we'd have to buy fishing line. I thought about how staples (of a sort) are used in surgery and we went with that. I folded over the long edges and Stan stapled them together. That might not be a good fix long-term, either but at least it's a temporary fix.
Attaching the netting was the least of our predicaments. In fact, this video ends on a less-than positive note. You'll have to see for yourself.
