r/LegalAdvice | Lab Violated HIPAA By Sending Our Health Information To My Wife's Work. OP and his wife are doing IVF and one of the tests is for STD's. The bill with the line item detailing the test was sent to OP's wife's workplace and they opened the letter. This made OP's wife have to explain the situation and OP is wondering if they can get the lab to admit to a HIPAA violation
