The Early Days In Bitcoin With Vake: Meet The Taco Plebs

For this episode of Bitcoin Magazine’s Meet The Taco Plebs, Nik (@nikcantmine) is joined by Bitcoin O.G. Vake (@vakeraj).

Vake has been on the Bitcoin scene for a lot longer than many and provided some quality insight into what was going on around BTC in 2013 and 2014.

The two discussed what Bitcoin was like in the early days when Vake fell down the rabbit hole in 2013. They get into topics such as bitcoin’s early volatility, educational content and more. They then compared them to today’s volatility and educational content and see how “spoiled” we are. Today, there is so much out there to strengthen one’s conviction of Bitcoin’s future.

The two also discussed Vake’s favorite ways to educate people on Bitcoin and the importance of it. Mainly, he feels that thanks to Bitcoin anyone can just pack up and leave their country with all of their wealth on them, and not having it confiscated. That is revolutionary and changes the game completely.

Vake is a proper pleb and Nik had the opportunity to meet him in person earlier this year. They had a wonderful discussion on multiple different topics surrounding Bitcoin and that has been demonstrated clearly in this episode.
