WELCOME TO ANOTHER EPISODE OF PATTAY'S PERFORMANCE!

Today in the Driveway we have our Beloved 2003 Honda Element. We are just going through some routine maintenance. While working in the Honda I discovered that the existing belt on the car is frayed! YIKES! Glad I caught it before potentially being stuck on the road some place. Since the car is NEW ME TO at 150k. I also decided at the same time I was going to replace the tensioner. ERIC THE CAR GUY HAS AN EXCELLENT video on how to do that. For me to try and steal that thunder is a great disservice to fellow Element Owners.

I’m not big into dealer specs I just change Serpentine Belts every 50K or is wear and tear shows different. I like to do Preventative Maintenance…Do things before the become a problem. This is simple, quick and cost effective. I originally ordered a New Belt from RockAuto.com and it came defective. Squeaked Right out of the box in few days of driving. I returned it and got a new one from Advance Auto…SQUEAK FREE. Buy the serpentine belt at your local parts store is my recommendation. The Belt Tensioner is GUARANTEED FOR LIFE through Rock Auto. BET YOUR BUT, every time I change the serpentine belt…a new tensioner will be installed too!

WITH OUT FURTHER A DO…LET’S DO THIS!
