Guy Mitchell on Carbon Credits: There's a sucker born, every minute
The Bill McIntosh Show sat down with Climate Contrarian Guy K. Mitchell, author of the book Global Warming:The Great Deception-The Triumph of Dollars and Politics Over Science and Why You Should Care who basically seconds what we've been sensing, in our guts for over a decade. What, pray tell, is that some may ask? Namely that the alleged man made climate change crisis is basically hot air, in so many words. We now can see what it's all about-global equity driven, social justice warrior agitation to redistribute wealth to "poor countries".
Guy Mitchell commented:
"I think it's clear that the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is leading the effort to promote the global warming hypothesis. And their motivation is funding for research and funding various vehicles to just redistribute wealth, from the developed nations to the developing nations to address what they viewed to be certain socio economic inequalities that need to be redressed...It's just a redistribution of wealth, from the haves and the have nots. Now, secondly, unfortunately, a real industry has grown up around the manmade global warming hypothesis, and it's the trading of carbon credits, and it's big money. And then of course, you have firms that are organizing to provide vehicles for concern, those that are concerned about climate change, to invest in green projects to try to ameliorate the impact of climate change. So, you know, to the extent that PT Barnum was right, and there's a sucker born, every minute..."
Like pathetic NFT’s being bought for tens of thousands of dollars from low talent “people of color” or other artistic poseurs with ludicrous creations whether they be minority or not, the idea is to enrich others while letting oneself be fleeced for the sake of “equity” or other “woke” objectives. What’s the costly climate mechanism scam equivalent to redress global injustice? Carbon credits of course. Call them the NFT’s of international commodities. Worthless, pointless and effective at destroying wealth like comical Bored Ape Yacht Club “art” that has about as much aesthetic value (actually less) as do .29 cent cheese burgers from McDonalds nutritionally speaking. For the sake of fairness to the Golden Arches, anyone with hunger and kids on a tight budget can appreciate such corporate culinary classics but alas, woke millennials and their older acolytes, will bash red state boomers as they champion man caused climate change due supposedly to eating bourgeois beef, deplorable dairy and burning foul fossil fuels. Meanwhile, when it’s bitter cold in January, they’ll sleep cozily as electric heat from natural gas (amounting to a whopping 38% in 2021 for electrical power generation thanks to data provided from The U.S. Energy Information Administration https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/electricity/electricity-in-the-us.php#:~:text=Fossil%20fuels%20are%20the%20largest,gas%20turbines%20to%20generate%20electricity.) keeps sub freezing temperatures at bay.
Guy Mitchell explains how big this climate boondoggle is:
“…in 2004, when former vice president Albert Gore, and a partner from Goldman Sachs, formed generational equity management company in London, to trade carbon credits, the worldwide carbon credit trading market was about $10 billion US in 2004, and 2019, the worldwide carbon credit trading market was estimated to be about $200 billion. And it's projected to reach about a TRILLION dollars within the next decade or so. So it's a huge market. It's a greater commodities market than a market in the world. It's unregulated. It's ripe for fraud because of the ability to have documented carbon credits on property that you own and sell it to a, you know, an arbitrary [person who sells] to another party. So it's a huge market, and there's a huge vested interest from an economic standpoint.”
But the obsession with carbon emissions gets downright sinister when one realizes how important CO2 actually is to farming as we face 2022 food shortages, expensive gasoline and 40 year high inflation. Guy Mitchell waxed eloquently on the curious fact that at greenhouses across America, staff and management, where plants are carefully cultivated from seedlings, actually use CO2 generators to boost growth:
“…you know, a typical concentration of CO2 in a greenhouse would be about 1000 parts per million, the current concentration of co2 in the atmosphere in the earth, is reported to be somewhere around 410 parts per million. So, concentration of CO2, by agricultural producers in the greenhouse is two times…. And the reason is, it promotes plant growth through the photosynthesis process, and it's beneficial for agriculture, it improves productivity…”.
Think of what this means. Greater agricultural productivity thanks in great part to CO2, based on economics 101 principles, means less food shortages and lower prices in stores. If this basic truth doesn’t empower and energize you to fight climate change activists, then think of your kids and or entire family going to bed hungry! Climate change cultist leaders are scoundrels, folks!
