How to Make Onion Salt

Onion Salt is such an easy way to add flavor to your food without having to peel an onion. It is also much more kid-friendly. In this video Marie and Emmaline from Wisdom Preserved teach you how to make onion salt.

For this simple recipe, you need dehydrated or freeze-dried onions and salt. Onion salt can be made in either a food processor or in a blender. Place 1 cup of dry onions and 3 tablespoons of salt in your processor/blender. Chop for 1 to 2 minutes. This recipe makes 1/4-1/2 cup. Place the onion salt in an airtight container and store it in a cool, dry place. To use the onion salt, add it to any recipe that you would normally add onions and salt to.
