FATHER FISH is a strong advocate of THE WALSTAD METHOD. He maintains hundreds of deep substrate balanced aquariums in his shop in Venice, Florida.
Diana Walstad began her research of dirted, planted aquariums more than 30 years ago. The first edition of ECOLOGY OF THE PLANTED AQUARIUM was published in 1999. Two editions followed in 2003 and 2012.
This review of her book covers the main sections. It is merely an overview and is not intended to be an in depth analysis of Walstad's work.
