I love JP Sears aka “Awaken with JP.” I have watched his videos for years and appreciate his intelligence. I was happy to see that he made a video on abortion but was surprised to see that he thinks abortion should stay legal for the first trimester for cases of rape. He believes abortion is evil but thinks if he was a woman and got pregnant from rape he would probably abort the baby even though he believes it is wrong and that it is ending a human life. I believe that when we live based on principle instead of situational ethics, our life will be far more blessed. In the tragedy of rape, killing your child will never erase the trauma of the situation but will now add another layer to the trauma that cannot be erased. God can heal a heart from acts of violence done against you and we can move on in time as healthy person, but trying to make peace with killing your child in your womb is an evil that a woman chooses to do and will often regret and feel guilt and shame over for years to come. God can and does heal women from the sin of killing her child, but it is never the right path, no matter how the baby got developed in her. The Bible says that we overcome evil with good. God can bring an amazing life out of a situation that never should have happened and we should trust Him to do that.

If abortion is kept legal for any reason, it will only become more and more legal until we are back where we are with full term abortion with the proposition of killing a baby 28 days after it has been born. This barbaric sin should never be tolerated in our civilized nation. We need to focus on protecting women from men who want to abuse them and highly prosecute men who do abuse women. Violence is not the answer.

Ending the child’s life does not fix the problem or heal the pain, but it could make it worse.

Many women who have had abortions go through much emotional pain, regret, suicidal thoughts, guilt & remorse for years to come and this could be avoided by choosing life and either keeping the baby if that’s what the girl feels she wants to do or giving the child to a healthy home.

Abortion is a trap, so that’s why I made this video. Abortion hurts women, has killed 60 million babies in America since 1973, and the world will be a much better and safer place without it.
