Acts 19:39, They Understood Jurisdiction

Acts 19:39 (KJV)
But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.

Roman officials were not perfect but they understood jurisdiction and they understood the difference between a peaceful protest and an unruly mob.

Our country would be on a good path if we simply re-established these.
