The Melodic death metal band, based in Lansing, Michigan, formed in 2001 out of the ashes of Somber.

Over the next few years, these guys released Beyond the Darkness Within a 7-Song CD on May 20, 2013 and One Last Taste of Temptation on May 23, 2003 before ending in 2005. Flatlined​/​Of Pain and Progression Single was released in 2005, the ast two songs recorded before Summer Dying's 2005 breakup plus two live versions of these tracks.
