Laurie Gaddis Barrett of Parents United RI provides testimony before the Rhode Island House Judiciary Committee in support of H8230 sponsored by Rep. Julie Casimiro.
Laurie gives examples of hypocrisy that the AG’s office claims they process hundreds of sexual abuse cases a year yet sexual contact is allowed if a student is aged 14 on up with their consent.
This bill simply wants to close that loophole.
