Mississippi River (Backwaters), First Ice Gills | Wisconsin Ice Fishing

Eric heads to backwaters of the Mississippi River for a shallow water bite. The key to the bite was finding pockets of open areas near the weeds. Fish reacted best to an aggressive jig cadence. Clam drop jig, along with B-Y Baits blood worm seemed to work effectively. Great first day on the ice!
