LDS Church Leaders, Dallin Oaks and Clark Gilbert, Do Not Teach Correct Doctrine at the Ensign College Devotional on May 17, 2022.

0:11 - Dallin Oaks teaches we can use love to stand against values and practices that go against the Lord's teachings, and Clark Gilbert replies that we can look to the example of Jesus Christ and follow him. This is good, but they fail to teach how to follow Him and receive the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost, which is the first step in the Doctrine of Christ, as we learn in 2 Nephi 31:13 and 21: "...by following your Lord and your Savior down into the water, according to his word, behold, then shall ye receive the Holy Ghost; yea, then cometh the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost... there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

1:57 - Then Dallin Oaks asks Clark Gilbert why does labeling good things evil persuade some to believe things that simply are not true. He replies that Korihor, in the Book of Mormon, falsely taught the people were bound by tradition and prophets. He then implies LDS prophets today are directed by God, and says being bound by tradition points us to them. This is a most ironic response, because LDS church members truely are bound by false traditions and prophets who are not directed by God. We know this by asking Heavenly Father and by seeing their evil fruit regarding their urging of the "safe and effective" mark and medical and government leaders taking precedence over priesthood blessings and healings.

4:16 - Next, Dallin Oaks teaches us to anchor our life and focus our thoughts on the Savior by temple attendance, reading the scriptures and staying anchored to our covenants. Again, he teaches nothing about the Doctrine of Christ, but instead prioritizes vain and inadequate traditions and covenants that are not built upon the Savior's rock. We know this by understanding 3 Nephi chapter 11: verses 33, 35 and 39-40: "And whoso believeth in me, and is baptized, the same shall be saved; and they are they who shall inherit the kingdom of God. Verily, verily, I say unto you, that this is my doctrine, and I bear record of it from the Father...for he will visit him with fire and with the Holy Ghost... and whoso buildeth upon this, buildeth upon my rock... And whoso shall declare more or less than this, and establish it for my doctrine, the same cometh of evil, and is not built upon my rock."

6:22 - Lastly, Clark Gilbert says the church does not have a doctrine of prophetic infallibility, and Moses and Joseph Smith were not perfect. Of course, he does not say that Russel Nelson is not perfect also! Then he and Dallin Oaks both say we cannot pick and choose what prophetic direction we will follow and which truths we will defend, which, in reality, activates JST Mark 9: 46-47, where Jesus warned us about false leaders: "And if thine eye which seeth for thee, him that is appointed to watch over thee to show thee light, become a transgressor and offend thee, pluck him out. It is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God, with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire."

0:11 - Dallin Oaks enseña que podemos usar el amor para oponernos a los valores y prácticas que van en contra de las enseñanzas del Señor, y Clark Gilbert responde que podemos mirar el ejemplo de Jesucristo y seguirlo. Esto es bueno, pero no enseñan cómo seguirlo para recibir el bautismo de fuego y del Espíritu Santo, que es el primer paso en la Doctrina de Cristo, como aprendemos en 2 Nefi 31:13 y 21: "...siguiendo a vuestro Señor y Salvador y descendiendo al agua, según su palabra, he aquí, entonces recibiréis el Espíritu Santo; sí, entonces viene el bautismo de fuego y del Espíritu Santo; ... no hay otro camino, ni nombre dado debajo del cielo por el cual el hombre pueda salvarse en el reino de Dios. 1:57 - Luego, Dallin Oaks le pregunta a Clark Gilbert por qué etiquetar cosas buenas como malas persuade a algunos a creer cosas que simplemente no son ciertas. Sabemos esto al preguntarle al Padre Celestial y al ver su mal fruto con respecto a su insistencia en que la marca "segura y eficaz" y los líderes médicos y gubernamentales tengan prioridad sobre las bendiciones y curaciones del sacerdocio.

4:16 - A continuación, Dallin Oaks nos enseña a anclar nuestra vida y centrar nuestros pensamientos en el Salvador al asistir al templo, leer las Escrituras y permanecer anclados a nuestros convenios. Una vez más, no enseña nada sobre la Doctrina de Cristo, sino que prioriza tradiciones y convenios vanos e inadecuados que no están edificados sobre la roca del Salvador. 6:22 - Por último, Clark Gilbert dice que la iglesia no tiene una doctrina de infalibilidad profética, y que Moisés y José Smith no eran perfectos. ¡Por supuesto, él no dice que Russel Nelson no sea perfecto también! Luego, él y Dallin Oaks dicen que no podemos elegir qué dirección profética seguiremos y qué verdades defenderemos, que, en realidad, activa TJS Marcos 9:46-47, donde Jesús nos advierte sobre los falsos líderes: "Y si tu ojo que ve por ti, que ha sido designado para velar por ti e indicarte la luz, se vuelve transgresor y te fuere ocasión de caer, sácalo. Mejor te es entrar en el reino de Dios con un ojo, que teniendo dos ojos, ser echado al infierno."
