Cat among the peaches...

(If you caught the Agatha Christie allusion in the title, give yourself a pocketful of bonus points!)
It's been one week since we thinned the peaches...take a look at how much they've grown in 7 days. Now they won't grow a great deal until they start to ripen--then they really take off. But that is not until August or thereabouts.
Also --if any of you have seen this black spot on tart cherries, let me know! This is a new disease for us; thankfully it is not affecting most of the clusters. Not yet, anyway. It is time to wrestle with those 10 foot by 20 foot garden netting to keep the thieving robins away. We'll need the 8 foot ladder for that task!
