While the city of Seattle plans to remove the homeless encampment at Cal Anderson Park on Wednesday some community members are asking what’s next for Denny Park?

Since the pandemic hit many city green spaces have been overcome by homeless encampments, drugs and crime – Denny Park is one of them.

“It is a tsunami of a situation that's happening,” said Tim Gaydos who is the chair & founder of Friends of Denny Park – the group that transformed the park 2017.

Six new tents popped up Tuesday at Denny Park.
