Man chases me for calling him Grandpa (at least in his mind)!

Older man (kinda looks like a Grandpa) but one that probably beat his children and molested them (just what it looks like to me). Most likely smacks his grandchildren around for fun. Obviously he has anger issues to chase someone down, wanting to fight them over the perceived name calling of "Grandpa". But also a chicken because he never actually gets out of his silver Dodge Durango with Colorado license plate # CCB-715.

Honestly I wouldn't have stuck around but if he would have gotten out I would have every legal right to defend myself at all cost. The court would see yeah I called him 'asshole' but he chased me down because he thought I called him 'grandpa' and that wouldn't go over well in court not to mention he chased me I didn't follow him. He escalated it. What would catching up to someone accomplish? Assuming I didn't pull over and stop?

He was going to turn right (he turned around after this), and it's shown he also took his seat belt off first thing as if he was going to jump out. His aggression was clear. It would have been like if I stopped and got off and took my helmet off right away. That isn't a good perception.

What do you do? I could have said nothing, I thought it was pretty tame what I did say. I could have continued on when he caught up, the road was turning dirt soon and I would have left him in the dust. It's why I didn't know what his end game was and decided to stop. Maybe foolish because maybe his mental illness is at a point he shoots me. That is a possibility, however I felt safer where I was, vs heading deeper away from people (up the mountain) again although he would have a hard time staying with me without crashing. Again no clue his end game but he is obviously mentally ill because to chase someone down for being called 'Grandpa' is sad.

If you know this man, I feel sorry for you. Please get him help that he needs.

It seems every 10 years someone on this road has issues. For as much as I ride that area it's not common to have altercations there. But we have also have bicyclist get shot and killed up the dirt road.

I'll admit, having any sort of altercation with an unknown in today's world isn't advised. I promise to my audience that I'll just stay behind and not even point out the persons mistakes. That would have been the best option.
