Therapy for Unwanted SSA Q&A Part 1: Strong Support Webinar

Here is the first part of the Q&A from the webinar I did with Strong Support back in May 2020. Note: Strong Support is an international organization for Muslims with unwanted same-sex lust/attraction and behavior. The director invited me to kick off their webinar series by talking about the trends in therapy for SSA. They were all fully aware that I am a Christian and they were respectful in understanding my perspective.

Questions:
4:44 - Is aversion therapy still be applied today and is it effective?
9:09 - If I cannot remember traumatic experiences from early childhood, should I do psychoanalysis to retrieve repressed memories?
20:02 - What is the connection between SSA, Complex PTSD, and narcissistic parenting? And are there holistic approaches?
27:00 - Polling the audience about their own therapy experiences.
30:36 - How can I do self-therapy if there are no therapists available?
35:00 - Are there atheist therapists in this field?
39:50 - Have you ever encountered people who developed SSA later in life?
48:19 - Are there profiles of therapists in this field? Are they mainly in the US?
