First Look At Tribeca Festival LGBTQIA+ Drama – Deadline.
EXCLUSIVE: The Canadian drama You Can Live Forever is setting up for its world premiere this weekend at the Tribeca Festival.
Here’s the first-look trailer for the Prospector Films pic, which stars Anwen O’Driscoll, June Laporte, Liane Balaban, Deragh Campbell, Tim Campbell, Antoine Yared and Hasani Freeman.
Montreal-based writer-directors Sarah Watts and Mark Slutsky’s debut feature film, in both English and French, is a period drama is set in the early 1990s and follows gay teen Jaime (O’Driscoll), who is sent to live with her devout Jehovah’s Witness relatives after the death of her father.
She makes an unexpected connection with Marike (Laporte), daughter of a prominent Witness Elder.
