How much time have you got? 🐌🐌 Orchids are slow growers, but that is all relative when it comes to slow growing compared to houseplants or perennials. When it comes to Vandaenopsis Irene Dobkin, we have ourselves another very slow growing orchid, almost as slow as some slipper orchids! How much time have you got, when you are dealing with a seedling Vandaenopsis Irene Dobkin? It can take 6 years for this hybrid to bloom. Phalaenopsis orchids do not grow more than 2 leaves / year and Vanda miniata is a notorious slow grower, as well as a reluctant root grower.... 🥱🥱😅 transition of this orchid to leca and self watering was not an issue, however, so... there is that 👍🏼
