It's been a year since we've had the cam replaced and the top end redone in our daily driver (2005 Chevy Silverado with a 4.8L push rod V8). Our decision was to run Castrol Edge 5W40 synthetic with AC Delco's engine oil supplement. In a previous video we discuss 40 weight oil being better for hydraulic lifters.
