Reasons to Grow Something:
Food Security- As someone who has lost their income this year, I've had to cook a lot more. So even if you are new to cooking and gardening you will see you can save the most money growing fresh herbs, and they're some of the easiest plants to grow.
Knowledge- You don't have to wait until you have a house with a backyard. Learning is all about getting in there and messing up. I learned so much about organic pest control, watering, pruning, cloning etc... just in a few storage containers. Knowledge is something I can take with me as I grow.
Community- The pandemic has been hard on everyone. Being able to give a neighbor some basil or sage does more then just save them money on groceries.
Beauty- Gardens are pretty; stop looking at your phone and plant a tomato.
