Behind the shores of the Bay of Bengal lies the Madras Crocodile Bank, the biggest crocodile sanctuary in India. Set up by Rom Whitaker in 1976, the sanctuary is home to three endangered species of crocodile. The breeding programme at the Croc bank has been highly successful with thousands of crocodiles re-introduced to the wild. Amazing clip taken from the BBC natural history programme The Croc Crusader.
