Ross Wightman received a letter from the government confirming the connection between Astra Zeneca vaccine and Guillain-Barre (gee-YAH-buh-RAY) syndrome.
A rare disorder where the body's immune system attacks the nerves. Weakness and tingling in your extremities are usually the first symptoms.

Ross talks about the steps he and his wife took that led to compensation from the government.
1- Get it into your doctor ASAP
2- Make sure that all relevant tests are done and reports are included (the doctors office should do this, but double check everything )
3- Follow up with everyone to make sure they received your record requests and if it's complete.
4- Request all medical records from both hospitals.
5- Follow up follow up follow up.
6- Get your complete history of your doctor visits over the past 2 years (it's something necessary in British Columbia)
