アメリカ国立衛生研究所と武漢ウィルス研究所はサル痘の流行を事前に予測し、研究していたようです。

NIH(アメリカ国立衛生研究所)は抗ウィルス剤による治療やサル痘が生物兵器として使われる可能性を研究していました。また、武漢ウィルス研究所はサル痘のゲノムの1/3を合成してそれを酵母に注入し、増やす研究をしていました。

It appears that the NIH (National Institute of Infectious Diseases) and the Wuhan Virus Research Institute predicted the monkeypox epidemic in advance and were studying it.
The NIH studied one of antiviral agents for medical treatment for the possibility that monkeypox may be used as a biological weapon. The Wuhan Virus Research Institute was developing the way of synthesizing 1/3 of the genome of the monkeypox and increasing that by putting it into yeast.
