▶︎Recipe INGREDIENTS:
4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
1/2 stick Butter
4 Shallots
1/2 pound Mushrooms
1/4 cup Marsala Wine (DRY)
1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 tsp. Lemon Juice
Salt & Pepper
▶︎Recipe DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat large skillet over medium heat and add 2 Tbsp. of butter.
2. Add chicken breasts and brown each side for 2 minutes. Before flipping, lightly salt and pepper each side. Set them aside in separate pan and cover.
3. Chop mushrooms and shallots. Measure wine and heavy cream.
4. In the first skillet on medium heat, add the other 2 Tbsp. of butter.
4. Place chopped mushrooms into pan and stir until soft and brown. Mix shallots in with the mushrooms. Stir. At this point, add the tsp. of lemon juice. Continue stirring over low-medium heat.
5. Add cream to the mushrooms and stir until blended. (Option: add 1/8 cup flour to thicken sauce)
5. Place cooked chicken into the sauce, and spoon the sauce over chicken.
6. Serve. Pairs nicely with fettuccine alfredo, garlic mashed potatoes or rice.
