In her personal life as well as her practice as a psychologist, Dr. Mary Lamia, has become very familiar with loss. She lost her mother in childhood, at the age of 11; her father in young adulthood, 10 years later; and her husband of 44 years in 2021, as she was completing her most recent book—on grief.
