Marla Helseth, Thomas Knecht, Ryan Wiskerchen - Candidates for Minnesota House and Senate

Three new candidates, all ordinary citizens, are seeking to represent their suburban districts - Marla Helseth in Eden Prairie and Minnetonka, Thomas Knecht in Eden Prairie, and Ryan Wiskerchen in Richfield.

The largest issue for all three is public safety. While not as highly publicized as in other areas, a rising tide of suburban crime is leaving many residents feeling unsafe and fearful of engaging in their communities.

Getting beyond political labels and into the core of issues, such as local control of education and the rising costs of everyday living are also addressed by the candidates.
