Shaming People About The Capitol Siege Will Only Inflame Tensions More

With Trump out of the way, his base of supporters now feel completely disenfranchised because there is no longer anyone in Washington who they feel represent them and truly listen to them. The dumbest thing for the political establishment to do now would be to shame these people and try and marginalize them. This will only further radicalize them against Washington which in the short term will only create more instability. In the long run however, it will be quite positive for people to turn away from Washington and identify more with their local communities just as the founders of this country intended.
