How To Plant Fish Heads Under Tomato Seedlings In Cold Climates. Is The Fish Head Method Worth It?

The idea of planting fish heads or fish fillets under tomato seedlings has been a method of transplanting for years. As someone who believes your garden your rules and no concept is inherently VERY wrong, I decided this year to give it a shot. When planting fish headed with tomatoes you want to ensure the fish is below the tomato seedling roots. This means placing the fish fillets well below the seedling root zone.

This method may not be for everyone and the results in a colder climate/colder soil may have the opposite effect then what is desired.

In the long summers as a child, she would garden alongside her grandmother and it was then that she realized her love for greenery. With years of great studying, Ashley had begun her post-secondary education at the University of Saskatchewan.
