Sky News host Chris Smith says Australia is “not keeping baseload power on tap” while transitioning to renewables.
“It’s one thing to have the virtue signaling of green renewables … but you’ve got to put money into gas and coal because that keeps the lights on,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray.
He said the demand for gas and electricity is too large in comparison to the supply.
“Which is why we’re going to pay through the nose with our power prices.”
