Planting Buckwheat to Improve Soil

We're in the first few months of a soil improvement project and we're planting buckwheat to till into the soil, and this late summer patch also serves as a deer food plot. Come this fall, we'll plant a cool season cover crop/food plot here, and then till it into the soil in the spring.

The Kubota L3901 with the Sitrex 3-point spreader make quick work spreading fertilizer. The Countyline tiller incorporates our last crop into the soil with little effort making the perfect seed bed for our next buckwheat crop.
