A man was filmed kayaking through the flooded streets of Miami after a massive rain storm.

Phil Demers took his vessel for a quick paddle after Tropical Storm Alex flooded large parts of the Florida city.

In the video, Phil can be seen navigating the stormy streets of South Beach - with a swimming hat and goggles on.

He is seen calmly kayaking on the city's main roads, which are covered by several inches of fast pouring rain water.

Tropical Storm Alex has caused severe flooding in other areas of southern Florida and is reported to have killed at least three people in Cuba.
