What Are Low Competition Keywords?

Low competition keywords are those that can rank with little to no link building and little to no domain authority.

If you have a relatively small channel on YouTube it will be very hard to rank for high competition keywords as it still has low authority and social proof.

There are already tons of videos ranking for those keywords, which makes it very hard for you to Rank for them, right?

So your best bet is to focus on low competition keywords with decent search volume to improve your chances of ranking on YouTube's first page for a specific term!

How To Find Low Competition Keywords?

In the video, I have mentioned two types of tools you can use for YouTube keyword research.

VidIQ and TubeBuddy are two free chrome extensions that will show you different metrics for specific videos but also search terms you have entered on the search box.

The ones you will need to focus on are:
- Search Volume
- Competition
- Overall Score

There are also keyword tools such as KeySearch which make the whole process much easier and faster loading all the metrics right away and do some tasks in bulk to save time!

How To Use The Keywords?

With your tool of choice, you will need to generate a list of keywords.

It does take time... but it's not super complicated! Just load up your google sheets and copy/ paste your keywords.

After having to generate your list you can order the keywords by overall score or competition score and then you get all the best ones at the top!

Feel free to use this process to get keywords for your title, description, and tags.
