The Last Sunflower Planting for U-Pick Flowers, plus Buckwheat Update
2 years ago
16
We finally finished planting sunflowers for this season's u-pick patch. We now have nearly 1/2 acre of flowers including cosmos, zinnias, and 5 types of sunflowers. Many of the sunflowers we're planting are Pro Cut varieties that are pollenless and should have a longer cut life. We also leverage our fields and flowers for photographers as a money-maker.
We use the earthway garden seeder to plant most types of sunflowers, though some smaller seeds don't work well in the seeder.
