Might Rethink Storing Equipment Under Tarps

Using my Wolfe Ridge splitter today and I realized something about keeping equipment under a heavy tarp that is reason for concern. There was heavy condensation all over the splitter after we had heavy rains and then the sun warmed the tarp. Is trapped condensation under a tarp just as bad as storing equipment outdoors without any over? You guys let me know!
