Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness - Orc Campaign - Mission 1: Zul'Dare

One of my New Year's resolutions for 2021 was to play more different genres of games on this channel, and now I will fulfil my resolution with my first walkthrough of a Real-Time Strategy game on this channel! This was the very first RTS game I ever played as a kid, so it only seems fitting that it also be the first RTS game I play on this channel. I actually never played Warcraft 1: Orcs & Humans, but I may try that game later on.

Like most RTS games, the objective is to build a base, farm resources, raise an army, and crush the opposing side (though some missions have different objectives like destroying specific enemy structures, or bringing a specific unit to a specific location, etc.). In Warcraft lore, the two sides are represented by the human inhabitants of the kingdom of Lordaeron and the invading Orcish Hordes, each with their own story campaign. I will start with the Orc campaign first.
