Isochronic or Isochronous tones (or sounds, or beats): these are crisp, steady pulses of sound created by turning a single tone on and off at a high speed.
Technically, isochronous sounds are of equal intensity, but the pulse rate is greater than monaural sounds, causing the brain to synchronize with the beat faster.

Isochronous sounds reproduce the principle of the beat of the drum. This is a precisely calculated rhythm to induce waves (Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta ...) in the brain.

Unlike binaural beats which require headphones to listen, isochronous sounds can be heard through speakers.

In 1981, Arturo Manns published a study demonstrating the effectiveness of isochronous sounds as a means of training brain waves. This has been confirmed by others such as David Siever.
