Upgrading an i3 to an i7 CPU on an old Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 15

Hi, Doctor Alex here.

This video is a one-off, stand alone video describing the biggest CPU jump I have ever achieved successfully - going from an i3-330m to a i7-620m CPU!

This entire video was edited and rendered on Openshot using this "new" i7 Lenovo Edge 15 :)
Full disclosure; it did have a couple of "heat faints" while editing the video, and so for the latter part I did stick an external suction fan over the vent to keep it stable. However, it did go through the entire rendering section of the process without problems, without the additional fan, which is something the T410 with the i7 inside could never manage. So, the Edge 15, with its more roomy case, is definitely more happy with the i7 than the smaller T410 ever was.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

Dr Alex
